Hi, I’m Tsveta

As a therapist, my work is deeply shaped by my own life journey. I was born and raised in Eastern Europe and immigrated to the United States in my early twenties—a transition that profoundly influenced my understanding of identity, belonging, resilience, and change. Returning to school as an adult was not just a professional decision, but a personal calling rooted in curiosity, self-discovery, and a genuine passion for understanding the human experience.

I work with individuals and couples, offering a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can explore their inner world, relationships, and life transitions.

I believe that healing happens in relationships—through safety, presence, and authenticity. Therapy is a space where all parts of you are welcome, and where growth unfolds at a pace that honors your nervous system and lived experience.

Outside of the therapy room, I find grounding and inspiration in nature and in the companionship of loved ones and my beloved dogs. These connections continually remind me of the importance of attunement, balance, and compassion—qualities I strive to bring into my therapeutic work.

I have a counseling degree from California State University of East Bay and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT96983) with more than a decade of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults through a variety of treatment modalities around a vast number of issues.

I provide individual, couple, family, and group therapy services to people who would like to make changes in their lives, struggling with effects of developmental trauma, mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, marital problems.

I provide supervision to postgraduate students on a weekly basis, while they are finishing the necessary categories in mental health services for a total of 3000 hours before they are able to sit down for their licensing exam, per the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) regulations for mental health professionals.

My Approach

My mission is to empower you to heal past trauma and move through adversity.

My approach is holistic, through-the-body, integrative and tailored to each person’s unique needs. I draw from mindfulness-based practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), trauma-informed care, attachment-based therapy, person-centered and strength-based approaches, as well as existential and interpersonal frameworks.

Together, we focus not only on healing wounds, but also on reconnecting with inner strengths, values, and meaning. We will transform relational wounds to life-giving opportunities and access your true potential.

My Values

  • Integrity and Authenticity: supporting you to stand in your truth

  • Humanity and Compassion: meeting you where you are right now

  • Learning and Growth: curiosity and development

  • Empowerment: choice, power and self-actualization

I have had the privilege of knowing and collaborating with Tsveta as a fellow therapist, and I hold her work in the highest regard. What truly sets Tsveta apart is her ability to weave humor and depth seamlessly.

She knows how to bring levity into the room without ever minimizing the seriousness of a client’s experience, creating a space that feels both safe and alive. Her presence is grounded, authentic, and deeply attuned, and it’s clear that her clients benefit not only from her clinical expertise, but from the humanity she brings to every interaction.”
